Today was the baby crawl and I never had big expectations, but I still wanted jax to win. I knew he could, cause he is so fast, but then he got distracted by the crowd. I could not get his attention! When I finally did, he took off, and I mean fast! But another child was just crossing the line as jax approached! He was so much bigger and so much faster than most of the kids competing, but it was not enough. There was too much going on in his 11 month old brain!
He got second and I am still very proud! It was a fun event to enter in with lots of excitement and energy!

What's new today?
I am finally back in our farmhouse. It is really beautiful here. Quiet, calm, relaxing, warm and it the country, just where I want to be. When I brought jax in he made kind of strange with the house, but as soon as I opened his toy box and he started to recognize his toys he got so excited! Toys were eve where as he laughed, grinned and looked at them. I can't believe how much he as changed, he has a new, more matured way of looking at the toys. So inquisitive and very indepeNdent. He plays so well by himself, and can play very well bynhimself. I had an incredible imagination, which was one thing I really wanted to pass down to my children,by keeping toys very simple, and lots ofntimefor discovery and exploration. I know we will have great times building forts and Lego.
I'm in a tough place now, lots going on, debating selling or renting our house on Chotem, trying to finish my thesis so i can complete my masters, struggling on being a good wife to a man that is struggling with depression, and trying to enjoy the last days of my mat leave. I am struggling, like every new mom with the idea of returning to work. No more sweatpants everyday, or not caring what you look like. No more breakfast or wake p calls from my son, he is my alarm clock. Now with the travel to saskatoon, I will likely be gone before he wakes. How can someone watch my son as well asi did, i worked so hard to teach him to eat and sleep, and now i have to accept the fact that he may learnnew life lessons from someone else.
Dont get me wrong, there are days that I feel very anxious to get back into the workforce, but then he will do something new, and I realize this small moments will come less as I am consumed by a day of pleasing other parents children. Imlove my job, but sometimes the parents can be very difficult.
Movie time, I love this with my husband!
While away my mom got us beautiful curtains for the front window....perfect!

Home
Well I am finally home from a month of being in the beautiful Palm Springs. It was hard for me to want to come home because in less than a month I begin work again after being on maternity leave. I can't believe a year has gone by already, my friends always said that it goes by so quickly, and of course you don't believe them, and then all of sudden your baby is eleven months old!
Jaxon Matthew David Guilmette, born April 8 th 2011. If I could describe my son in one word it would be FAST! He was born in five hours, he learned to crawl at six months, began feeding himself by 7 months, started standing at 8 months, cruising by at 8.5,and started taking steps at 10 months. He is just about ready to walk, but he knows he can get places faster by crawling so I think he chooses that mode of transportation the most. He is an amazing kid, always smiling, always happy and a real social butterfly especially to blondes!
Blogging is a new world to me, but as I have seen my friends blog it became more and more interesting! I am not sure exactly what I will blog about, but I just want to do it!
